Description
Class Experience
At the end of four weeks, students will produce a short finished film in which they have at least 4 different audio layers, a polished, professional-looking title created in Keynote, and demonstrated thoughtful use of camera angles, transitions and color enhancements.
I have been teaching iMovie for over ten years, and my middle school students frequently win local and state-wide film competitions, largely attributed to their skillful use of many of iMovie's tools that take their student films to much more mature, advanced levels that rival their peers.
Please see course description for session-by-session list of homework.

1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be given the option to find audio tracks and sound effects from YouTube's Free Audio Library (copyright free music). Although YouTube's free audio library is not in any way inappropriate, some parents are leery of allowing their child access to youtube in general. Please note that students will not be viewing youtube videos, only listening to and downloading audio tracks. You can view this library of sounds at https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary
Students can pull professional-quality, copyright-free video or images from pixabay.com and audio tracks from YouTube's Free Audio Library as well as another copyright-free sound website, www.soundjay.com
