Montessori Writing Tutorial: Letter Sounds & Handwriting for Beginners

💗 This Pre-Level-1 tutorial is an interactive 1:1 introduction to letter sounds, finger-tracing and handwriting with a master Montessori teacher.

👩🏽‍👦🏽This class can be a fun shared experience for a caregiver and their child, depending on the learner's age and independence. 

💡Letter sounds engage your child in mastering phonemic awareness (hearing the order of sounds in a spoken word). 

💗 CLASS CONTENT: Via screen-sharing each 35-minute session includes:

1️⃣🎶 A sound-song with one sound for each letter of the alphabet, while watching an engaging slide show. Then we sing the ABC Song; all with live autoharp accompaniment!
 
2️⃣✨Watch and participate as we finger-trace 6 or 7 authentic Montessori sandpaper letters in lowercase print, with examples of words that begin with each letter sound, shown in up-close photos

3️⃣✍🏽Learn correct pencil grip while practicing each letter on a chalkboard, dry erase board or paper. PDFs with guidelines and arrows provided. 

4️⃣🎉 I guide a fun cooperative BINGO game, emphasizing picture description, conversation and letter sounds. 

😊 This fun tutorial has a warm and encouraging feeling. Each short session teaches foundational reading and writing skills for the youngest learners on Outschool

📅 Lessons are divided into 6 or 7 letters each:
Set 1 Letters: c, o, a, d, s, g
Set 2 Letters: t, k, h, b, f, l
Set 3 Letters: i, r, n, m, y, j, p
Set 4 Letters: v, w, x, u, z, e, q

💗The content repeats every 4 weeks, with variations for 16 lessons
