US Grade Preschool - 1
We are looking for families that need support from teachers to help their children excel in reading, phonics, and writing! The techniques used are hands-on to help learners not only watch how things are done, but start working on muscle memory. As Maria Montessori said, "What the hand does the mind remembers.” The class is ongoing and will meet twice a week for 25 minutes each. There are three teachers who offer tutoring. Ms. Teri focuses mainly on PreK/Preschool/Kindergarten. Ms. Natalie and Ms. Kelsey are able to help Prek-4th grade. We can work on: -Reading (for example, CVC words for younger learners or full sentences/paragraphs for older students). -Handwriting for numbers, letters, full sentences. -Animal Alphabet phonics -Vowel teams, digraphs, etc. -Parts of speech like nouns, verbs, articles, adjectives, etc. -Multiplying/dividing -Adding/subtracting with and without regrouping -Geometry -Telling Time Our teachers believe in student-led classrooms with the right amount of structure for success. We sing songs, play games, and engage in active learning to help kids. Depending on child's needs, we will supply worksheets to help practice and facilitate the best classroom experience. It is not necessary for student's to have prior knowledge in any subject, but please send us a message with the following details: 1. Areas that the child needs to work on. 2. Prior experience with reading, writing, math, or phonics.
