Montessori Style Math - Carry-over Addition with Foam Squares

This lesson using manipulatives will lead to grasping and then crystallization of the concept of dynamic (carrying over) addition.

Class Experience

This lesson is very hands-on as using primary-colored foam squares, students will easily be able to add up two, three and four-digit quantities including carrying over very easily.
With my observation and 10 years of teaching experience using the Montessori Method specifically children aged 6 to 9, this lesson has been one of the favorite lessons of children and has helped a lot of children who were initially struggling with his particular concept. I feel after having presented this lesson I would be able to set the children up for success.
