Description
Class Experience
In the Montessori classroom geography and history go hand in hand. Geography studies the Earth where we live, and history studies us, the people who live on earth. In this class we will start with the first lesson of Montessori geography, left and right and cardinal points. After that, we will continue working on the early childhood social studies lessons which include: continents and oceans, the globe, maps, seasons, flags, biomes, culture and more. Materials: A globe Compass (optional) Printer and printer paper Coloring pencils * No markers please Regular pencil with eraser Glue sticks Children scissors Construction paper * Other home materials might be required during the year. The materials list for each class will be posted in advance.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will use scissors during some lessons. An adult should be in the same room to supervise.
