30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
(ages 4-7) In this one-time class, learners will discover why a year is 12 months long, the reason for the seasons, and create a calendar wheel. Learners will see how the earth travels around the sun in one year, how the earth's location affects the seasons and how the plants grow, and then use their creativity to make a calendar wheel (also known as a perpetual calendar). The Montessori principles of demonstration, story-telling, and the use of hands-on, concrete materials will help this information to stick.
