**SCROLL DOWN FOR THE SUMMER DESCRIPTION**
This class will follow the Montessori  Early Childhood science curriculum. Starting with the big picture and narrowing down to the smaller parts. It will run for the whole school year. We will work together on most experiments. Every class will have an interactive element. Some lessons will include movement, a song or a book reading.
 * Students must be able to copy words from the screen*
 I will post a list of simple materials weekly and items to print and have ready for class. The materials list attached covers the items needed for the first 12 weeks.

The basic Montessori curriculum ends June 5 2023. We will expand over the summer to cover the following subjects: Review of animal classifications, invertebrates, ocean life, layers of the ocean, layers of the atmosphere, the moon, constellations, and experiments with density and friction.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Some activities will require adult supervision. Parents should blow and tie the balloon for the air experiment and should be by the child when using scissors. For experiments with water an adult should be by the child to promptly dry any spills and avoid falls.
Supply List
These are basic materials that are used regularly. I will post what you need weekly on the classroom page.

** Black cardboard strip cut approx. 8" x 27 1/2" (Needed for the first day, Monday class 8/23).
