Learners will build their confidence and facility with basic reading and writing skills; including vocabulary, cursive handwriting and spelling. Learners will create their own booklet or folder of useful words for writing projects such as journal entries and story writing.

The day before each session, learners will receive the following supplies: handwriting/spelling practice lists for the topic, and a colorful BINGO picture card with 16 photos; these photos match the vocabulary words. Learners can keep a folder of dotted-font lists, and begin an illustrated spelling book of their own. This can include the BINGO pictures that are cut out and glued into the book.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
