Welcome to our Montessori Art class, where creativity meets academics in an enriching and dynamic environment. This class is designed to integrate artistic expression with academic learning, encouraging children to explore the concept of creativity through various art forms. By the end of this course, students will have a deeper understanding of different artistic techniques, mediums, and outputs, as well as an appreciation for the contributions of famous artists. We are proud to be the first and only accredited Montessori school on the Outschool platform, featuring certified teachers who bring their expertise from our brick-and-mortar school located in Ontario, Canada. In our Montessori Art class, students will learn to integrate arts with their academic studies, exploring creativity in a structured yet imaginative way. The curriculum is designed to help children understand and appreciate various art forms while developing their own artistic skills. Topics Covered Different Techniques of Art: We will explore various art techniques, including realism, landscape, and abstract art. Children will learn to appreciate the distinct styles and the processes involved in creating each type of artwork. Different Mediums of Art: The class will cover a range of artistic mediums such as drawing, painting, and stamping. Students will get hands-on experience with each medium, learning the unique properties and techniques associated with them. Different Outputs of Art: Students will create various types of art outputs, including sculptures, mosaics, and more. These projects will allow children to experiment with different forms and materials, fostering their creativity and problem-solving skills. Famous Artists: We will study the works and lives of famous artists, providing inspiration and context for the students' own creations. This topic will help children appreciate the historical and cultural significance of art. Class Structure Each session begins with a lecture on the day’s topic, providing students with a solid foundation of knowledge. Following the lecture, the teacher will demonstrate the materials needed for the activity and explain the steps involved in the process. Students will then have the opportunity to try the activity independently while the teacher observes and provides real-time feedback. This hands-on approach ensures that students learn through experience while receiving the guidance they need to succeed. Our teaching style is fun, engaging, and productive. We believe that art education should be an enjoyable experience that stimulates curiosity and a love for discovery. By creating a positive and supportive atmosphere, we aim to keep students motivated and eager to participate. Students will have ample opportunities to interact with the teacher and their peers throughout the class. The small group setting ensures that each child receives personalized attention and has the chance to actively participate in all activities. We incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including interactive games, discussions, slides, and occasional video clips, to make lessons dynamic and relatable. Join us in the Montessori Art class, where we help children develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of art. Through engaging activities and a supportive learning environment, we inspire creativity and foster a lifelong love for the arts.
