Learning multiplication facts can be fun and engaging! In this 10 week class, students will begin to form a solid foundation for the multiplication fact families for numbers 1-10. Using the Montessori Method, I have taught primary students math multiplication concepts with the use of the Montessori Multiplication Bead Board or a set of 100 counters such as pennies. The Montessori Method breaks down math facts in fun, engaging and interactive lessons, giving students a strong foundation to build upon. This method sparks joy, and students gain a sense of confidence in their math multiplication abilities. Each class will focus on a number set or family. We will review and build upon materials and skills covered in the previous class, notice patterns, learn a few tricks with numbers and have some fun too! Students will also create their own multiplication books they can make reference to (weekly work will be posted to the classroom page in a printable PDF format for class preparation). Students will have the opportunity to share their ideas, thoughts and work, by taking turns and through show and tell. This learning platform will provide an opportunity to not only to gain math multiplication skills, but listening and social skills from the comforts of home. Feel free to reach out with any questions about the class. I would be happy to address any of your question or concerns. * a strong understanding of addition and subtraction math skills is required.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
I am a mom, Montessori teacher and yoga instructor who enjoys inspiring the minds of young student to love learning, and have an appreciation for living in the moment.
I received my Montessori training on the campus of the University of California- Irvine, and have had the pleasure of working with directors trained by Maria Montessori and her son, Mario Montessori while teaching in Newton, MA.
The Montessori teaching method teaches the whole child, learning through the senses-sight, sound and tactile specifically.
As a yoga instructor, I believe we are students our whole life. There is so much beauty in life and in the world for us to learn and share. Outschool is definitely a great platform for instilling a love of learning and I would be happy to share in your child's educational journey.
