US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this one time class, your learner will practice using the Montessori golden beads math material. Students will have the opportunity to see and use Montessori materials in a concrete way to improve these skills. Before instruction begins, we’ll take a few minutes to do introductions, a brief icebreaker and review some simple class rules. Then the fun begins! In this class, learners will review the place values of assorted Montessori golden beads, then compose or build numbers using labels alongside the beads.

Students will be provided with printable copies of the following: Printable golden beads, one sheet of each place value (1-1000) Colored place value cards from units to thousands Learners should have paper & pencil for class. * If your learner has the golden beads material, I would suggest a placemat or small work mat to use under the beads so they don’t move or roll.

Parental guidance is recommended if scissors are used for cutting of printable golden beads material. Occasionally, I will use Canva in a screen sharing capacity only with learners. This does not require any family to have a subscription to this third party tool.
