In this child centered, multi day class, learners will be taught the skill of dynamic addition using the Montessori golden beads material. Students will have the opportunity to see and use these Montessori materials in a concrete way to practice these addition skills. Students will be provided with printable copies of the following: Printable electronic Golden beads set from units to thousands Number symbol cards in hierarchical colors Dynamic addition problems Golden beads coloring control chart page Learners should have paper, colored pencils, a standard pencil and scissors for class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parental guidance may be needed if learners are cutting out printed golden beads with scissors. The Canva presentation tool will be used for display purposes in the class, and an account is not required for any learners or families. I will be using this resource only in a screen share capacity.
