Description
Class Experience
In this multi day class, learners will be able to review and practice Elementary math operations in a variety of ways using the Montessori golden beads material. Each week will focus on a specific math operation, ranging from place value and static addition to dynamic subtraction. Before instruction begins, we’ll take a few minutes to do introductions, a brief icebreaker and review some simple class rules. Then the fun begins! Students will improve their understanding of a variety of math computation skills using the Montessori golden beads material with an assortment of student centered activities.
I am a certified Montessori teacher for ages 6 to 9 and have a great deal of expertise in teaching Montessori math lessons.
Follow up work will be given but is not required to be completed.
Paper, pencil, and colored pencils are recommended. I will also send printable golden beads, as well as other work/materials that learners will need.
Teacher observations during class as well as verbal/written feedback will be provided to assess student learning.
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental guidance is recommended for use of scissors if learner is cutting out printable materials.
