We will move through the Montessori curriculum as the students demonstrates mastery of the skills.Class Experience
US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 3
The Montessori language materials help children develop their communication and expression skills, organization and classification, and the power of thought. During the first class we will establish the student's starting point. We will then work together moving at the child's pace through the Montessori language curriculum. You have the option to purchase your own materials or request printable versions. This class can also be used for tutoring one specific concept that your child is struggling to master. Along with the Montessori materials, we will use printable games and worksheets. Subjects include letter sounds, CVC spelling and reading, sight words, reading and spelling silent "e" words, consonant blends/digraphs and vowel digraphs, compound words, the two sounds of "c" and "g", reading comprehension, and Montessori grammar. A workbook and matching readers will be suggested depending on the student's level. Since this is a one-on-one class, the time and date can be adjusted.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from University of Puerto Rico
As a Montessori guide I teach every subject to my students. I'm most passionate about Social Studies (geography, history and culture), science, and music and art appreciation. I also enjoy teaching Spanish, reading, practical life skills, cooking, and dance. I have a bachelor's degree in Theater from the University of Puerto Rico, where I joined the traveling theater troupe and appeared on many TV commercials. At the age of 16 I was already a professional backup dancer for many pop singers in the island. I was able to travel the world and truly enjoyed learning about different cultures. When I moved to Florida with my husband, I became a dance and theater teacher. But when our son was born, I switched to Montessori, since that was the philosophy and education I was raised in. I got certified in 2014 by AMS, the American Montessori Society, as an early childhood guide (Ages 3-6) and in 2022 by NAMC as a lower elementary guide (Ages 6-9). I also immersed my self in Conscious Discipline and giftedness. I always make sure to follow the child.
