Homework is not mandatory, but is a nice conversation piece for you and your child, perfectly reinforcing the material covered in class. Plan on 0-30 minutes per class of art activity time outside of class.Class Experience
This is a great introduction and preparation for traditional and Montessori school circle times! With the use of traditional and Montessori teaching materials I will teach calendar skills including the days of the week, numerical skills including rote counting and ordinal counting representing numbers to 31, the year and seasons. I will also introduce colors, shapes and their attributes, letters and their phonetic sound. The children will participate and practice classroom etiquette-raising a hand to speak, taking turns to share their thoughts and listening to others . A simple art activity (color, shape) to go along with our class will be introduced during class and will be encouraged to work on after our class from the comforts of home. I welcome students to post their work in the classroom discussion page to share with the class. My Montessori teaching style is student centered and will encourage students to participate as much as possible.
