***This class can be a follow-up from my “Simple Fractions” class, or can be used if your learner already understands 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 fractions.*** For this class, we will be doing a continuation of learning smaller fraction values, and solving more equations with those fractions (how they equal to 1). We will be going over the values of 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10, 1/12 in class, and how those fractions can equal up to 1 (ex. 1/5+1/5+1/5+1/5+1/5= 1). We will also mix fractions and try to figure...
Learners will understand smaller fraction values, and how they can equal up to 1.
I am a trained Early Childhood Montessori teacher who has been trained on how to teach various Math materials, including fractions.
Learners will need either a notebook with a pencil (for notes to keep), or a whiteboard with a dry-erase marker for class. What would be very beneficial for further learning during and after class would be a set of “Bright Creations: Magnetic Fraction Circles” set (on Amazon for $9).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
