Monsters of the Deep: The Ancient Sharks

Students will learn about the evolution of sharks.
The topics covered will be as follows:
1: The Chimera-Shark split
2: Paleozoic sharks (Ordovician-Permian)
3: Mesozoic sharks (Triassic-Cretaceous)
4: Cenozoic sharks (Paleocene-Pleistocene)
My class will be structured along the shark family tree chronologically. We will start with the earliest sharks and talk about the new branches that show up at different points.
I will teach using a mixture of clips, videos, artworks and discussion and lectures.
My teaching style can be described as interactive.
Learners will get to interact with me through lectures and discussion.
