In this class, students will participate in a fun monster math song and fingerplay, an interactive story time and a draw a monster activity while learning, identifying, and counting numbers 1-10.

In this interactive class, students will begin by practicing introductions, meeting their new friends, and singing a monster math song with finger movements. Students will listen to a fun monster math counting storybook while counting, naming numbers, and interacting verbally with the teacher and the other students. We will have a follow-up art activity. Students will use the paper and crayons or markers they brought to class. The teacher will roll a dice and students will count the number on the dice with the teacher and then draw their very own monster following a guide given by the teacher. To conclude our class and support oral language skills, the students will give their monster a name and share their monsters with their new friends.

Hello Parents and Friends!
My name is Meredith Armistead. I have over 15 years of experience teaching Pre-K children (ages 4-5) in a public-school setting, as well as being an online TESOL and TEFL certified ESL teacher, teaching children around the world how to read and speak English. In my class, I believe every child deserves a good head start academically and socially before attending kindergarten. I strive to make my classes interactive and fun for all the kiddos in my classroom. My classes will include stories and talk time, music and movement activities, art, writing, show and share, and so much more. All while preparing them for kindergarten and having fun while learning!
When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time with my husband camping and boating at the lake! I am a marathon runner (12 and counting) and I love to travel the world and visit new and exciting places. I'm so excited to be a part of the Outschool community and look forward to shaping those little minds with a love for learning. I hope you will join me in class.
