Description
Class Experience
In this class, learners will get to practice and enhance their acting skills through monologues of their choosing. We'll study the monologues of their choice, focusing on elements such as the voice, movement, and overall portrayal of who they are playing. This class is beneficial for students who want to explore playing different characters and genres, as well as develop skills and options for future auditions. The class is divided into 4 sessions, each one building to the final performance...
Students will learn how to better portray and enhance a character by analyzing the text of their monologue, and exploring the foundation and story of their character. This class can help build skills in public speaking, critical thinking, collaboration, and presentation.
Homework will involve studying lines for memorization, looking up and writing out the appropriate verbs to play on, as well as advised rehearsal.
Energy, focus, and the want to have fun.
No official grades, but there will be personal feedback in a written report to the parent at the end of the 4 weeks.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
We'll refer to famous theatrical pieces through images and videos.
