Ever wanted to take your script or monologue to the next level but didn't know how? This course will cover scene study and script analysis to help you uncover how to create a dynamic character by looking at objectives and obstacles and finding your character's inner life. If you have a monologue or scene you'd like to do, bring it. If not, we can choose from our library of original monologues and scenes. We'll also give you character sheets and envision your character's life before and after the scene, even if all you have is the monologue or short scene. This class is structured to work with one or more students with scenes that can be shared on-screen.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to analyze a monologue or scene, break down beats, and better understand what motivates a character to make the choices they make during the scene.

The class will use monologues specifically geared towards teens which have been used in monologue coaching and professional demo reels.
