Monologues are a great way for young actors to learn basic acting technique! In this class, actors will choose a monologue and learn how to memorize and play off of their imaginary scene partner using objectives and tactics. By the end of the course, the actors will have their monologue performance ready! Week One: Understanding Technique -Pick a monoluge -What is an objective? -What are tactics? Week Two: Performance Workshop 1 -Actors will come to class with a monologue picked...
Actors will be required to choose a monologue. They will also be required to work on the monologue outside of class and come prepared with the monologue memorized and ready to add technique into the monologue during class time. They should be prepared to work on their monologue outside of class every single week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
