In this 5 lesson self paced course, students will learn how to count pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, $1.00 bills, and $5.00 bills. Students will also add money totals together and make change from up to $5.00!

 Week 1
Lesson 1
Identifying and Counting Dollars and Coins
Students will be introduced to pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, the $1.00 bill, and $5.00 bill and be able to count by 1's to count pennies and $1.00 bills, 5's to count nickels and $5,00 bills, 10's to count dimes, and 25's to count quarters.
 Week 2
Lesson 2
Adding Coins Up To $1.00
Students will be able to count combinations of different coins transitioning from counting by 25's to 10's to 5's to 1's as well as using addition to add money totals together up to $1.00.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Making Change From $1.00
Students will be able to make change from $1.00 by using a subtraction equation or counting on (starting at the price of the item and counting up to $1.00 to find the difference).
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Adding Dollars and Coins Over $1.00
Students will be able to count combinations of different dollars and coins transitioning from counting by 100's to 25's to 10's to 5's to 1's as well as using addition to add money totals together up to $5.00.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Making Change From Totals Greater Than $1.00
Students will be able to make change from $2.00, $3.00, $4.00, or $5.00 by using a subtraction equation or counting on (starting at the price of the item and counting up to $2.00, $3.00, $4.00, or $5.00 to find the difference).
Students will be able to add money totals and make change.
Homework Offered
One 1 page homework activity will be shared per lesson. This can be turned in once completed for feedback. There will also be one Kahoot! activity per lesson.

Printable resources will be provided but are not required to be printed to use. Students should have paper and a writing utensil to work through the homework and activities given in class.
