In this Multi-Day Course, students will practice counting the coins- pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half-dollars to find their total value. The teacher will demonstrate how to count the coins to find their total value. Students will work with the teacher to practice counting coins to find their total value. Students will also work independently to count coins to find their total value. Students should know the name and values of the penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half-dollar. Students should be proficient in addition as well. Students who are proficient in these skills could do well in this class. Counting Coins and finding their value is a life skill so let's have fun practicing. Things to be covered: Week 1- Finding the total values of pennies, nickels, and dimes Week 2- Finding the total values of dimes, quarters, and half-dollars Week 3- Finding the total values of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half-dollars

Hello everyone! Welcome to Outschool!
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you! I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too. I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online. When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person. My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups. I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License. I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also. My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways. I love to have fun while learning! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
