Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
To enhance engagement and memory, we will incorporate singing songs into our activities. Additionally, we will utilize various props such as large magnetic money and real money to facilitate learning. Participants will have the opportunity to hold and identify coins while discussing their colors, shapes, and unique characteristics. In addition to my own instructional videos, I will curate and share insightful YouTube videos focusing on money management and skip counting. To reinforce learning, I will provide visual aids in the form of pictures and handouts illustrating the quantity of each coin required to make up one dollar. Furthermore, a series of entertaining worksheets will be included for extra practice and consolidation of knowledge. This multi-faceted approach aims to make the learning experience both engaging and effective.

Students will learn how many coins equals one dollar, discuss how there can be multiple ways to pay. For example, 30 pennies, 6 nickels or 3 dimes. Share slightly more complex examples, “what if something costs seventeen cents? What do you need?”

BUY A CAKE!
At the conclusion of each lesson, learners will have the opportunity to select a number, leading to a custom video where a cake is unveiled. To finalize the activity, students will determine the quantity of coins required to buy the cake. This engaging and interactive activity not only aids in recognizing different coins but also strengthens counting skills and introduces the concept of purchasing goods using specific denominations.

Hello parents and students,

I encourage learning through enthusiastic engagement. I believe children learn best through curiosity or play. Teaching online has been my passion since 2015. I was an online English teacher with VIPKID for over three years and an Outschool teacher for ever since. Over the years, I have learned how to engage with students in a virtual setting. I encourage student output and participation during class.

I have a bachelors degree in marketing and science. I am an entrepreneur and business owner. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. I am a homeschooling mother to my twin sons and my two daughters. I am constantly seeking creative ways for my children and students to learn new things.
