Class Experience

Financial Literacy is one of the most important things a child can learn to prepare him/her for the future, but it is rarely included in school curriculum. Understanding how money works, why it is important to save early, and how to avoid huge financial disasters is incredibly important.

During this class, we will discuss a new financial topic each week. The classes will be a combination of lecture, discussion, videos, games, and activities to help them understand these sometimes-challenging topics.

Studies have shown significant positive effects of financial education on both financial knowledge and behaviors. Many states and school districts are moving toward adding financial literacy into every child's education because it is such an important topic.

Students will learn through a combination of lecture, discussion, videos, activities, case studies, and games. Students will learn practical, important information about how to manage money and budget.

Topics will include everything from how checking and saving accounts work to budgeting and managing credit.
