Description
Class Experience
"Money doesn't grow on trees"... We hope we NEVER have to say those words to our kids as a way to tell them that we can't afford to buy what they want. But we DO want to empower our kids to chase their goals and dreams, and to value money and the time and effort it takes to make money. The focus of this class is CASHFLOW: finding ways to produce income and control expenses. Students will learn about the the following: -The importance of creating and sticking to a budget -The "Work Hard"...
I am offering this class in response to requests from friends and clients to teach a financial class geared towards their children. As a licensed advisor, I have been educating parents on asset accumulation, emergency savings, reducing the burden of student loan debt, and protection against fees, taxes, and probate. I have also seen the damage done to individuals and families who simply chase higher income to solve their financial problems without developing the financial discipline to protect their income, as well as the rewards and peace of mind that comes to those who start to implement a plan that addresses all the important aspects of cashflow. My mission is to help kids while they are young to understand how to control money without it controlling them. I love the power of teaching through pictures, so this class will be a slideshow with lots of diagrams and some mini "pop quizzes" to help with knowledge retention.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
