Class Experience

Does your learner need more practice counting coins? Learning the US coins can be tricky and many learners need repeated exposure to grasp the concept of counting coins. In this ongoing class learners will get to practice naming the US coins, see pictures of the US coins, practice what the value of each coin is, and how to count a collection of like coins. We will NOT be mixing coin types in each class. See class schedule for the coin types that will be covered.

Learners will receive a foldable book of the coin for that week and worksheets to print off to practice counting coins.

I will share my screen to students and we will discuss the assigned coin and its features and its distinguishing characteristics. We will then use a virtual treasure hunt (Google Slides) to search for hidden coins. We will collect our coins, then practice counting the collection of those coins.

The classes do not build on each other. You can join at any time. Each coin that will be discussed will be introduced at the beginning of class and materials provided to practice that coin.
