Before taking this class, students should know the names and amounts of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. To start class we will review the names and amounts of the coins. We will then practice skip counting by 1's, 5's, 10's, and 25's. I will show the students a group of like coins and we will practice counting them together.
