Description

Class Experience

Many children start earning money in their early teens.  In this course, learners will cover the basics of budgeting, intentional spending, the importance of saving and compound interest, and how to stay safe in a world with increasing financial fraud.   

I will use slides, stories and templates to illustrate the concepts.   Upon completion, learners will have the ability to complete a basic budget, using a template we will work on together in class.   They will be able to use the template...

After completing the course, learners will have a good understanding of the benefits of having a budget, how to spend their money mindfully, how compound interest can be their friend (or foe) and how to recognize some common online fraud schemes.

An excel file will be provided upon enrollment.   We will work with this file during class time.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
