Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will hone in on social skills like teamwork and collective problem solving, as well as deductive reasoning and critical thinking.
I love playing board games and video games, and have been playing a lot of Among Us recently, as well as even watching YouTube videos and Twitch live streams.
Players will need an installed copy of Among Us, which can be found at https://store.steampowered.com/app/945360/Among_Us/ for $4.99. The game can be played on PC, Mac, and iPad, as well as consoles like PS4, Switch, and XBox. ***HOWEVER, currently the mods only work on the PC version of Among Us*** In case the links aren't coming up in the External Resources section, here they are again: CrewLink (Proximity Chat): https://github.com/OhMyGuus/BetterCrewLink WinRar (For File Extraction): https://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0 Installation Guide Video: https://youtu.be/ZkbiCA4SUTI If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out and we can figure something out for help!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Among Us is a simply animated game with low graphics, but it does involve the Impostors murdering the Crewmates before they can get all their tasks complete. If you would like to see if it seems appropriate for your learner, there are several live play videos of the game on YouTube, as well as the trailers for the game on Steam.
