In this ongoing class, students will practice their social skills while enjoying a fun and relaxing coloring sheet! Coloring mandalas has been said to provide a stimulating activity and encouraging creativity! Class will begin with a short warm-up, and which students are encouraged to introduce themselves, where they’re from and anything else they wish to share. Then during class, we will go in a circle in which students are encouraged to share any fun facts they have or anything interesting that happened to them during the week. Discussion will be monitored and prompted by teacher. Before class, students will be provided with several blank mandala coloring sheets to choose from. They are encouraged to print out at least one (If not more!) sheet and bring it to class with their colored pencils, crayons, markers or whatever they wish to color with. This class is designed to be a fun social time in which students can express their creativity and practice speaking in front of a group.

Supply List
Students will be provided several blank coloring sheets prior to class. They should also bring colored pencils, markers, crayons, or whatever they wish to color with!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Carissa!
I have been teaching online for the past three years. I have taught ESL toyoung Chinese learners. I very much enjoy working and learning alongside my students.
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri and a minor in Sociology. I spent the five years after graduating in many different social work fields before finding online teaching.
My classes include, but are not limited to, cooking, baking, travel, photography, graphic design, and elementary English. I look forward to adding more classes as I grow and brainstorm with my students!
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, spending time with friends, playing with my cat, and taking pictures. I also enjoy traveling. I have traveled all around the world including Italy, Iceland, the UK and France. I have also traveled many places in the United States. I look forward to sharing my traveling experiences with you in the future!
