Class Experience

Students will use a variety of source texts to produce solid paragraphs and essays, including multiple stylistic techniques.
I am an accredited IEW instructor with 6 years experience using this curriculum in online and in-person small-group settings.
Students will complete exercises, make outlines, practice vocabulary, and have weekly writing assignments of 1-3 paragraphs.
The following materials are required for this course. Please note that the textbook is protected by copyright; thus, I will not show or transmit any portion of the book during class. Students must have their own copy.
√	Modern World History-Based Writing Lessons Student Book – required purchase ($29), available at:
√	Spiral notebook
√	Writing utensils
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners may submit their completed writings to me via private message on the OutSchool platform. I will offer encouragement and specific constructive feedback. I will not be grading papers or offering grades of any kind. If a parent needs a letter grade for their child, parents may use the checklists at the end of each lesson to assign points and grades to their childrens' papers. I am happy to offer grading advice if needed.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
