Description
Class Experience
You’ve seen it everywhere, on cards, menu boards, and even t-shirts: it’s "hand lettering" (also known as "modern calligraphy")! In this class, I will break down the basics and demystify this art so your child can level up their creations. Practice makes progress, so I have included printable practice sheets for this class. I teach using a top-down camera so learners will be able to follow step-by-step if they choose. Participation is encouraged but never forced. I will also have a slideshow...
Students will complete a final project using the hand lettering techniques they learned in this class.
Calligraphy Basics printable (a new printable file will be available each day of the camp) Calligraphy Practice Lines printable (I recommend printing several sheets of this printable) Markers with an ability to draw thick and thin (any marker that is not "fine tip" works well here) Blank paper to practice on A few pieces of white cardstock for our final project Paint (acrylic or watercolor) for our final project Paint brushes for our final project
