Each day we will target different Spanish vocabulary groups through playdough creation and play. The teacher will direct the learners to create a certain kind of creation each day, while leaving room for creativity (for instance, what kind of animal or what breakfast foods each learner will make), and some of the vocabulary we practice will depend on their creative choices. Day 1 - Challenge: Make an animal - Vocabulary: names of animals and body parts Day 2 - Challenge: Make a monster - Vocabulary: body parts, numbers, foods Day 3 - Challenge: Make dessert - Vocabulary: foods plus eating verbs After each class meeting, I will provide a brief list of vocabulary words and phrases we used during our class time for learners to continue to review. Please bring playdough (any color and type). Playdough tools are optional. It is very helpful if the learner's camera is angled so that I can see what they are creating on the table and see them at the same time. That way we can talk about their creations more easily as they make them, and it is easier for them to share about them.
