Description
Class Experience
During this socialization time the students will work on the following Kindergarten and First Grade Speaking and Listening standards: -Follow agreed-upon rules for discussions (e.g., listening to others and taking turns speaking about the topics under discussion). -Build on others' talk in conversations by responding to the comments of others through multiple exchanges. -Ask and answer questions in order to seek help, get information, or clarify something that is not understood. -Describe people, places, things, and events with relevant details, expressing ideas and feelings clearly. -Speak audibly and express thoughts, feelings, and ideas clearly. -Produce complete sentences when appropriate to task and situation.
Please have your child bring his/her modeling clay and favorite modeling clay tools to play with during class. Your child can also gather his/her favorite things to share with classmates. These things can include favorite stuffed animals, toys, books, pictures of family or friends, trophies, sports equipment, games, information about his/her state or country, etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
