Hello! I'm Ms. Jennie, and I am SO excited to be teaching on Outschool! I have over 5 years of teaching experience in the public schools as a certified Early Childhood Educator (with ESL and LBS 1 (SPED) endorsements). My background is with diverse learners, and children with unique needs. (I have my teacher certification in Special Education and have worked in both inclusive and self-contained educational as well as recreational environments such as camp). I am also passionate about the field of Psychology, I have a minor in and looking to get further credentials such as certificates in Mindfulness etc.) and strongly believe in intentionally teaching social-emotional skills both explicitly as well as implicitly as opportunities naturally occur. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Special Education and will graduate in December 2024. I believe learning should be fun, and I always try to find a way to tie the student's interests with my teaching and keep them engaged! I look forward to hearing from you, and how we can work together to best meet the needs of your learners!
Any supplies will be posted in the classroom prior to the class. If anything is needed it is usually just items for a show and tell type of game.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
