In this one time class, students will find hidden objects and then work together to solve word problems. These word problems are very easy to figure out but if they are not sure what the math equation is then I will be there to help them. The word problem will not add up to more than 30 (one question will be 10+10+10) and will subtract from 10 or less. We will start class with introductions sharing where we are from and some thing about ourselves like what our favorite ice cream is or favorite color and then play a little game not related to the lesson just for fun. After that we will do the lesson and when finished we will play another game, draw a picture, or just sit and talk until the end of class. This time after the lesson I will leave up to the group on what they choose to do. I hope to see you in my class where we can help Moana find the things needed for her adventure.

paper, pencil, white board and marker to write the math equation on as well as the answer. paper and coloring pencils if they choose to draw after the lesson.
