Description

Class Experience

This 5-week course is aimed to develop a love of writing for early writers! Learners will explore key words from the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems and later use those words in their own writing. Learners will write basic, simple sentences with the goal of using the words we discovered in the story! Learners will have the opportunity to share their writing with the class.

Learners will explore key words from the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems and later use those words in their own writing. Learners will write basic, simple sentences with the goal of using the words we discovered in the story!

  1 file available upon enrollmentA writing booklet will be provided for learners in this course. The writing booklet should be printed and stapled together so that learners can write in it from week to week. 

In addition to the writing booklet, learners will need a writing utensil and crayons. 

Gerald and Piggie books are optional and are not required.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
