Class Experience

Hello, my name is Jill Carlyle. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a concentration in writing and rhetoric. I own and operate The Write Way Tutor where I offer face to face and online private and group English Language Arts instruction. I am a certified K-12 substitute teacher in Brevard County Florida. Additionally, I am currently pursuing an MA/Ph.D. in English and Creative Writing.

I am excited to share my passion and knowledge of writing; my goal is to help students rise above various roadblocks while learning in an engaging and fun learning environment.
I am a lifelong learner and believe that to stop learning is to stop growing: one is never too old to learn.
All learning materials will be provided by the instructor. Students should come to class prepared with a composition notebook to take notes and also have the access and the ability to upload weekly writing assignments NOT MANDATORY; however, students are encouraged to purchase the MLA Handbook Eighth Edition and the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association These manuals are available on
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
