In this ongoing course we will play with different types of experimental mixed media techniques using watercolor, household items, paint, clay, beads, aluminum, yarn, magazine, and drawings!

In this creative and hands on class, students will learn how to draw, paint, and use different materials together. We will use materials such as paper, pencils, aluminum foil, magazines, toothbrushes, and other household tools. Students will have the chance to experiment and explore combining materials. This class is a wonderful way for your child to expand upon their skill set and find creative ways of using different media! We will open the class with a weekly check in about what we are interested in experimenting with. Students are welcome to introduce new items each week! In this class we will also go over collage techniques as the class progresses. Learners will get to interact with one another and myself by discussing different art they are interested in, and also techniques that they would like to learn in class. We will also give each other positive feedback about our work, and learn some skills about speaking and describing art work. Cutting skills with scissors are the only required prior knowledge.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their media techniques, and also learn to engage with one another and talk about creativity and process.

Supply List
Various household items of the students choice-examples include aluminum foil, toothbrushes, cardboard, etc Glue, paintbrushes, pencils, strong paper or canvas, glitter (optional)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
