This high energy class is an introduction to the basic techniques of Mixed Martial Arts. Techniques from Boxing, Muay Thai, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu and Israeli Defense will be taught individually and combined into combinations. Workouts will begin with a fun warmup to prepare the students for class. The main focus of class will be teaching skills like blocks, punches, kicks, elbows, knee strikes and ground defense. Over 37 years experience training and teaching Mixed Martial Arts.
Continued practice is encouraged after course is completed.
Please make sure proper workout attire (t-shirt and shorts) is worn. Socks are not recommended as they may cause the child to slip. Make sure that students have an area clear of obstructions so they can safely practice kicks, punches and ground techniques.
Students are encouraged to demonstrate the techniques learned in class.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parents should observe all classes to be aware of techniques being taught. I encourage parents to practice techniques with students outside of class.
