Is your learner curious about Mars?! This class is just for them! This class is all about Mars and the Mars rover, Perseverance! Class starts promptly with introductions and an icebreaker. I really want learners to feel like part of a class. Next, we jump right in to what Mars looks like (by making observations), learning about what sounds might be like on Mars, what it would smell like, and how Mars would feel (without a spacesuit). We end class by taking a look at the newest rover Perseverance and the incredible information it has sent back to earth. Learners are encouraged to share throughout class and discuss topics they find interesting! I present material to students via a slide show with fun, engaging and colorful images and video clips. During class, learners can create their own rover design (draw, sculpt or build) to share at the end of class or post in our classroom after class is over!
