Class Experience

Welcome back! This class is designed for students who have taken "How to Create Beautiful Images P1." This is a drawing class where students will take their paintings (from P1) to a whole new level! Students are encouraged to use their own ideas for the image(s) they would like to create. If students choose to submit their ideas to the teacher (at least 48 hours before the class), they will be guided through step-by-step suggestions of how to draw their image(s). It can be anything from animals (i.e. dinosaurs, horses, sea creatures) to crystals to flames. Ideas for finished artwork can be cards to send to a friend or relative, frame it and hang it on the wall, or put on a cover of a journal.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I started taking piano lessons when I was just six (6) years old. I studied at Settlement Music School in Abington, Pa. and was trained in classical piano, but have branched out and enjoy playing all kinds of music. A graduate of La Salle University, I come from a musical family, where instruments lay scattered around the living room, and in the evenings each person might pick up anything for a spontaneous "jam."

I have been giving lessons to both children and adults for many years. I love to allow the interests and needs of my student(s) to guide the repertoire and areas of study. I enjoy encouraging others, being a part of their evolution, and helping people go further than they thought they could go.

More than anything for my students, I want to get them to a place where they want to keep learning and growing and spread the "bug" for music with those around them. My goal, as a teacher, is that lessons should encourage not just good form and practice, but also, the fundamental love and enjoyment of the process. I believe that all kinds of art - music, visual, written, etc.- relieves stress and that art is a way to heal and grow as a person.

I enjoy playing music and leading sing-a-longs for senior citizens, painting, and occasionally creating murals within my community. I enjoy gardening, the beach, and generally spending time and moving around outside.
