This weekly 1:1 reading intervention course is designed to give reluctant readers the tools they need to read fluently and proficiently. I will be working individually with students to assess their strengths and weaknesses. Following this assessment, I will develop an individualized plan to get them up to their appropriate reading level.

→ Phonics
→ Phonemic Awareness
→ Fluency
→ Vocabulary
→ Comprehension

Many times, students are fully proficient in one or more of these areas, yet significantly lacking in others. Students will be thoroughly assessed to determine their individual needs so that the intervention is tailored specifically to the student. This will be done using a combination of 3 standard reading assessments.

⚠️ Important Notes for Parents ⚠️
► This class will run as a weekly subscription that can be rescheduled/canceled at any time. Sessions are 30 minutes long. Please check my availability schedule to find times that work best for you and your student. If you are interested in meeting more than once a week or if you don't see a time that works, please reach out to me so we can work together to come up with a schedule that works well for both of us. I will try my very best to accommodate your needs.
► If your kiddo is having an especially hard time on our class day, please send me a message to let me know they need a little extra love that day. You don't have to give me any details, just a quick note. I'll keep an eye on them during class and try my best to turn their day around.
► All learners are welcome in my classroom. Please let me know if any special accommodations are required for your child.

Learning Goals

→ Student will identify their strengths and weaknesses regarding reading
→ Students will explore and master each of the 5 areas of reading: Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension
→ Students will experience a big boost in confidence which will help to get them up to their appropriate reading level.
