Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
During the class, each student will briefly talk about their favourite superhero and why it is their favourite. We will then discuss our superhero of the week, what makes them so special, and how they got their super powers. We will then do a fun science experiment based on Canadian science curriculum grades 1-4, such as electricity, thermal energy, and types of matter. Students will be engaged and asked what their hypothesis for the experiment is. For more challenging subject matter, slides and video clips will be used for the students to reference. As this class is interactive and discussion based, there is no required experience or knowledge beyond the typical science curriculum taught in school.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Science from University of Manitoba
Hey there! I'm Teacher Dani. I am a science teacher, dancer, and actress living in Vancouver, Canada. I love all things biology, and I am passionate about teaching science. I graduated in 2015 from the University of Manitoba with a BSc in Microbiology & Biology, and have been teaching online since 2019. I think it is important to have a relaxed, fun, and low pressure learning environment in which my students can laugh and learn in an easy going environment. I love applying theory to real life scenarios and my classes include lots of problem solving. My biggest passion next to science is the business of making movies and performing arts- acting, dancing, singing, playing guitar, and makeup artistry all hold a special place in my heart, and I will also teach classes and host social clubs where we can explore those passions together!
