I have been a speech-language pathologist for over 20 years and love to help kids acquire new language and communication skills. In graduate school, I was a teaching assistant for several interpersonal communication classes that involved grading and giving feedback on student speeches. I have continued my involvement in public speaking mentoring as a 4-H advisor. I always hope learners will leave my class as more confident communicators.
There is no formal homework for this class, but it is my hope that your learner will show you the skills they have practiced in class.
Students are required to bring a class-appropriate object to share with the class. After class, a note with suggestions for follow up activities will be posted in the classroom. Students will also receive individual feedback after class through learner notes.
