This class is the private version of my Preschool Phonics Fun Club class. Each week, we will explore a different phonics topic. We will start class with a greeting, and then a brief introduction into the theme of the week. After that, we will learn all about the theme through games and other fun activities. In addition to the phonics theme of the week, we will also learn language skills such as sentence building, asking and answering questions, turn-taking, making predictions, using...
Students will learn new phonics skills each week. Students will learn to play with the sounds in words. Students will learn new language skills. Students will have fun!
I have been a speech-language pathologist for over 20 years and love to help kids acquire new language and communication skills. I have always loved to help kids play with sounds and always hope they will leave my class as better communicators.
Follow up activities to practice new skills will be provided each week. These activities will be black and white and appropriate for printing or completing on a device.
No materials will be needed for class. A follow-up activity sheet will be sent through the classroom each week. This activity sheet will be black and white to minimize the ink needed to print, but it can also be completed on a device in case a printer is not available.
Does the learner use the new phonics skills introduced in class? Does the learner show new language skills? Does the learner participate in class activities? Does the learner have fun?
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
All activities will be age-appropriate and inclusive and I will steer conversation away from controversial topics.
All materials will be made specifically for this class by the instructor.
