We will create fun weekly crafts, review sounds/blends, and play games. Themes include holidays, seasons, and more with a variety of sound targets. Week of 4-1-24 we will make Paper Plate Joking Dinosaurs and talk about the J sound.
Class experience
In this ongoing class, we will use common craft supplies to make a new seasonal or holiday themed craft each week and learn a new phonics sound or blend. Our class will begin with a greeting and an introduction to the phonics sound/blend and craft theme for the week. Learners will enjoy working on their crafts, talking about the holiday or seasonal theme of the week, and then sharing their creations. I have been a speech-language pathologist for over 20 years and love to help kids acquire new language and communication skills. I have always loved to help kids create and share. I also love reading and I am very excited to pass the love of reading on to my learners.
