Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
Does your learner need to gain confidence in speaking? Does your learner want to make new friends in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere? Does your learner like to play games? Whether you have a native English speaker or an ESL learner, this class is a great way to gain confidence speaking while learning some new vocabulary and having fun!

Each class will start with a greeting and an introduction to the theme of the week using a tongue twister. After that, we will play a game while learning new English vocabulary related to that theme. A variety of styles of game play will be used, including but not limited to Battleship, Clue, Life, Candyland, Jeopardy, and many others. As we play, learners will be encouraged to learn new English words and use them to show many different language skills such as making sentences, taking turns, answering questions, or asking for more information. Learners will be encouraged to speak slowly and clearly throughout the class, and we will talk a bit about enunciation and pronouncing words correctly. This class is not an articulation class and is not intended to be speech therapy.
