Welcome Fairies to Miss Audrey's Fantastic Fariy Clubhouse! We will have all kinds of fun each week with a variety of fairy activities! Not every week is the same, for example, we will not always do a song, always do a dance, etc. Come back each week to discover the vartiety of fairy clubhouse material! Here are some examples! Fairy Dances- Learn a small choreographed fairy dance, or freestyle fairy dance. Fairy songs-Learn a fairy song just for faires, and/or learn how to create your own...
All fairy stories will be told in an appropriate and non-violent manner. Some fairy tales can be dark, we will not explore this, and keep things light and magical!
If you would like to dress up as a fairy for fairy clubhouse you may! You may wear fairy wings and bring fairy wands, but not required! Please wear some kind of dance shoes to do fairy dances in like ballet or jazz shoes! -a place to dance (we will not be dancing every week, please check the announcements each week) -A water bottle -table for craft I will encourage to find most of these items around the house for arts & crafts, or find something simple to replace the items. Each week, the craft will be different so check in the announcements to see which craft we will be doing. These are some example items for arts & crafts that may be needed: -mini fairy glass bottles (Magic season decorative glass bottles or viles .33oz w/cork stopper) 24 pieces average $9.00 for a pack, or viles, perferabbly non-colored -glass jar with a lid like a mason jar -favorite or multi-colored glitter -beads -stickers -sand, regular or colored -small feathers -stretchy string -confetti shapes, regular, stars, or whatever you would like -blank paper -plastic sheet covers -sharpies -colored pencils, crayons, or markers -fake flowers and plant pieces -plain headband -plain white or black gloves that fit student -scissors -hot glue gun (with parent supervision) -lace material, small sections -popsicle sticks -glue -tape
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
For certain arts & crafts we may be using a glue gun, and parental guidance is required for these days. We will not be doing the same craft every week, and will not always be using a hot glue gun. -a table to do the craft -a space to dance
Fairy stories: Most of the fairy stories will be written/told by Miss Audrey, or the kids. Other sources used: Fairy-lure: German and Swedish Fairy Tales/collected and adapted by Carrie Norris Horwitz Tales of Wonder and Magic by Katherine Pyle
